Spiritual and Political Propaganda and Revisionist History of the Kim Cult of North Korea (DPRK)

Jesus continued to speak truth to His disciples – “’If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin, but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.’” (John 15: 22-25)

Jesus clearly said that whoever hates Him, hates His Father. If you hate Jesus, you hate God. No doubt, many false religious leaders hated Jesus. Most of them tried to take His place. Many of them sought to be honored and worshiped by men and women. One of these people is the founder of the false religion of Juche, Kim Il Sung. He is referred to as “Great Leader” by North Koreans. He lived from 1912 until 1994 and ruled North Korea from 1945 until 1994. He became a “mystical god of his people” (Belke 52). It was observed at his funeral in 1994, that there was a mass outpouring of emotion from both young and old. However, ten days later, the government ordered the end of mourning, and just as quick as it started, the mourning stopped (Belke 53-54). North Korean government propaganda turned Kim Il Sung into an “all-wise” and “all-knowing” god. Kim wrote the following propaganda about himself – “Comrade Kim is not only the Protector of the political life of the Korean people but also the Savior of their physical life…His love makes sick people well and gives them new life, like the rain in spring which gives a drink to the Holy Land (Korea)…The physical life ends. The political life is eternal. Communism is the highest ideal of the human being. Some Korean sailors died in the Indian Ocean. Kim took action and the sailors experienced the joy of being Born again…He sacrifices his Sleep and Rest for the people to give the proletariat Courage and Power…The highest aim of the Korean people is to honor Kim and be loyal to him.” “(Kim’s son states to his father) – ‘forever, where you will go I will follow, the Son says to the Father.’” (Belke 54-55)

Many false leaders, such as Kim Il Sung, set themselves up to be worshiped. Their goal is to gain political and spiritual control over people. The same can be said about Joseph Smith and Muhammad. They have false revisionist history written about them. The true history about them; however, reveals how truly nefarious they are. Do not be deceived by the propaganda written about them.

I would encourage you not to be fooled by the propaganda written about any of the Kim leaders of North Korea. I would also be wary about what the Mormon Church tells you about Joseph Smith, and what so many Muslims believe about Muhammad. Satan, the enemy of your soul and mine wants us to believe lies about people who seek to lead us away from Jesus Christ. I warn you about false teachers as Paul did the Corinthians – “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11: 13-15)
